The Wolf With Romulus and Remus.

Roman founding legend says that the exposed twin boys Romulus and Remus, who later founded Rome, were suckled by a wolf.

Romulus and Remus were said to have been the twin sons of a Vestal Virgin. That she had been made a Vestal was a political move, since it should have ensured that she stay celibate. The gods don't always obey human laws, though. Thus it was that, according to legend, the god Mars impregnated the supposedly inviolate priestess. The offspring resulting from that union were the twin boys who were still unwanted and exposed at birth.
