- Ajax - of Locris. Bound by the Oath of Tyndareus and one of the Argonauts, he was in the belly of the Trojan Horse.
- Hector - champion of the Trojans and son of Priam.
- Amphimachus - grandson of Zeus, killed by Hector.
- Thoas - ruler of the Aetolians of all Pleuron and high Calydon.
- Othryoneus - a suitor of Cassandra, the Trojan princess and seer. He was killed by Idomeneus.
- Asius - a Phrygian leader and brother of Hecuba Queen of Troy.
- Antilochus - a son of Nestor.
- Deiphobus - brother of Paris.
- Idomeneus - leader of the contingent from Crete on the Greek side of the Trojan War.
- Menelaus - Helen's Greek husband. Menelaus is not generally considered a good fighter.
- Polites - son of Priam.
- Aeneas - Trojan prince and the son of Aphrodite.
- Ascalaphus - a son of Ares, and an Argonaut.
- Ares - war god.
- Meriones - son of Molus, a Cretan and the charioteer of Idomeneus.
- Polydamas - a Trojan leader and son of Panthous. He wants to return Helen to the Greeks.
- Pisander - several men of this name; here, a Trojan slain by Menelaus.
- Alexander - Paris - A prince of Troy who kidnapped Helen and started the Trojan War.
- Harpalion - fought with the Boeotians. He was son of Arizelus and Amphinome, and was killed by Aeneas.
