  • Alcinous - King of Phaeacia and descendant of Poseidon. Alcinous is clearly not as up on the Achaean graces as Nestor or Telemachus.
  • Cyclops - Sons of the god Poseidon who live on an island as shepherds.
  • Polyphemus - One of the Cyclops. He lives in a cave and eats 6 of Odysseus' men before Odysseus blinds and tricks him.
  • Odysseus - Wandering Trojan War hero famed for his wiles. He is a favorite of Athena and disliked by Poseidon.
  • Demodocus (Demodokos) - Blind bard who sings at the Phaeacian court.
