  • Phaeacia - (Place.) Also known as Scheria. It may be Corcyra. Odysseus sails a raft and then swims to Phaeacia in Odyssey Book V.
  • Odysseus - The hero of the Odyssey. He is suffering at the hands of the sea god Poseidon and helped by Athena. He is known as cunning and often suspects others of trying to trick him. He longs to be home in Ithaca.
  • Nausicaa - The confident, pretty daughter of King Alcinous and Queen Arete of Phaeacia. Nausicaa is looking for a husband. She looks like the goddess Artemis.
