- Eumaeus - Faithful swineherd of Odysseus. He was the son of a king, but was kidnapped as a young boy and sold to Laertes, Odysseus father.
- Penelope - Faithful wife of Odysseus and mother of Telemachus.
- Amphinomus - One of the suitors, leader of the 52 suitors from Dulichion. Son of Nisus. Best liked by Penelope.
- Antinous - Suitor. Son of Eupthes. Advocates killing Telemachus.
- Eurymachus - One of the suitors. Telemachus describes Eurymachus as "aglaos" or noble. Eurymachus is the son of skilled Polybus.
