Explanation of Myth

Myth appears to be a tale of something factual that has been disguised for easy remembrance with human characters taking the place of, for example stars.

Myth

Myths are likened in my mind to parables a story handed down from generation to generation (and of' times embellished upon) blended with mankind's constant endeavor to humanize the spiritual elements they know are around them but cannot see.

Myth Gives Meaning to Life

Something which allocates meaning to life through symbolism.

Myth

All myths begin with a grain of truth in them. This could be a natural phenom. that the ancients could not comprehend, a disaster after a misdeed, a benefit from a good deed, etc. Since the stories are retold orally, over the years they are sometimes embellished and so we get some pretty amazing tales. However, if we study them or "dig deep" into their origins, we will usually find some truth in them. So my definition of myth is a naked truth that has been dressed up over time.

My Definition of Myth

The non written history of an event, person, situation. Thus, through the myth, we get much more than just an event; we get the wisdom of the times since then! Further and since many generations and individuals have been included in the transfer of the myth, a variety of knowledge can come from it, including sciences, psychology, history, geography, and so on. As an example the myth of the Argonauts leaving Crete and approaching Anaphe. After the Argonauts left Crete, a severe weather stroke on them. Jason prayed for their salvation to Apollo. Then, in the middle of the dangerous sea a piece of land appeared and the Argonauts were saved. There, they built one of the largest temples ever. Now: Anaphe, in Greek, means what has appeared again. Further, from geographical proves we get that the island was emerged after it was gone under the sea! Thus, myth is something not written but capable of proof!

Myth by Ali Nunez

Son secretos del subconsciente de las personas que salen a la luz del mundo reflejandose en simbolos y fantasias los cuales tratan de ocultar la verdad consciente

Myth

a Myth is a story that has been proven untrue beyond all human reasoning. Lets say we lived in the ancient times, how would we describe a vision of an airplane? Would we create a story of what we saw? or a myth?
