Quetzalcoatl - The God of the Wind
Benevolent creator god, depicted as an old, bearded man. Humans are his children and he taught them science and the calendar. He is said to be the son of Camaxtli and Chimalma.
A first millennium epic about Topiltzin who bursts forth from his mother's chest fully armed. Living up to his birth he is a might conqueror. His son Huemac, often called Quetzalcoatl assumes power on Topiltzin's death. Troubles come and Huemac razes the city to prevent its falling into the wrong hands, he then self-immolates and becomes the morning star.
