Final Un-test

Time to sharpen your #2 pencils.

Dateline: 05/19/98

If you hate tests or can't remember dates, this is designed to be a confidence building experience for you. In fact, you're supposed to cheat. (By cheating, I mean, using the Internet to help you find the answers.)

  • There are 3 parts (SHORT ANSWER, MATCHING, and SHORT ESSAY).

Part I - Dates

  • The object is to figure out the significance of the following dates. Each date is referred to in one of my first year's worth of features, but if you have a different answer, that's fine, too.
    1. 457 A.D.

    2. 125 A.D.

    3. 120 A.D.

    4. 98 A.D.

    5. 63 A.D.

    6. 62 A.D.

    7. 146 B.C.

    8. 218 B.C.

    9. 325 B.C.

    10. 412 B.C.

    11. 438 B.C.

    12. 451/50 B.C.

    13. 468 B.C.

    14. 525/24 B.C.

    Part II - MATCHING

    Instructions:
Select the one answer that fits best. If there are two that seem equally appropriate, see if you can eliminate one of them by providing a different match for it.

    Part III - Essay

In 75 words or less, name your favorite person/character from Ancient History. Explain why.

    Thank You

Since this isn't actually a class, this Un-Test doesn't mark the end of a real school year. It is, however, the end of my first year with MiningCo (now About.com). So, thank you for your support. I hope you've enjoyed this site and will continue to do so.
